A kshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, initially slated to release on June 2, is now being readied for release during the Independence Day weekend.
This change means that the film will lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Rehnuma.
While there has been no reason given for the delay, it is believed that the change could be on account of the Champions Trophy cricket match between India and Pakistan scheduled on June 4.
The worldwide rights of Rehnuma have been sold for a whopping `125 crore to NH Studioz, and it’s crucial for the bankrollers that the Imtiaz Ali film have a good opening. Both films seem set for release on August 11.
