Komal is all set to take up a 20-day hectic tour on a bicycle. Please do not get confused. Komal is neither undertaking a campaign on behalf of Samajwadi or Telugu Desam Party whose symbol is the bicycle, nor is he facing any fitness problems. Komal, who played a key role in the movie Mr Gargasa, is not inclined to support any political party. He is hale and healthy.
Instead, Komal plans to promote his forthcoming movie Maryade Ramanna, a re-make of the Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna in which Sunil played the lead role while Magadheera fame Rajamouli handled the megaphone.
If everything goes well, Komal and other members of the unit will commence the tour from September first week. ‘‘We will leave for Bidar next month. We are using two buses and a few trucks for this purpose. We will take along a bicycle as well. We want to cover all the districts,’’ said Komal.
It is not the first time that artistes are touring the district headquarters. Director Yogaraj Bhat had organised interaction programmes with audience as part of the promotional activities of his movie Manasaare. Recently, Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga team had also undertaken a tour to promote the movie. Will the hectic tour have any effect on Komal? ‘‘It will help me shed a few kilos. The tour is expected not only to promote the movie but also to make me physically fit,’’ says Komal.
Doddanna, Nisha Shah, Dharma, Shobaraj, Shankar Bhat, Mukesh Rishi are the members of the star cast. Guruprasad is the director. MM Keervani has scored the music.
