The leading lady of the much awaited 'Sangolli Rayanna', Nikitha Thukral is taking a break. Having wrapped up her current projects in Tamil and Kannada, she is off to US for a month. “I have completed the shoots for all my pending films. I really needed this break and I will be totally cut off from the industry for a month,” reveals Nikitha, who wants to travel to as many places and spend every minute with her family.

She is looking forward for her big film, 'Sangolli Rayanna', which releases in August. “It will be the movie of the year as the historical film is done with such grandeur by director Naganna involving a big star cast,” she says.

'Sangolli Rayanna' has Nikitha sharing screen space with Challenging Star Darshan. But as usual, a big film has its share of controversies. According to the people living in Sangolli village in Belgaum, Sangolli Rayanna was not married. So they say that the dance, song and marriage in the film is uncalled for.

“I don’t agree with this because the producer, Anand B Appugol is a big fan of the patriotic person. In fact he has several banks in the name of Sangolli. Having widely researched the subject, I am sure he has definitely done justice to the movie as it is his baby and a dream project. People will love the film as it is done wonderfully,” says Nikitha.

The actress was also asked to watch some historical films and serials and read about 'Sangolli Rayanna' before she came on the sets. “I used to regularly watch the serial on Ramayana and Mahabharata to get the mannerisms right. I also read about Sangolli Rayanna on the net,” she explains.
