Deepa Sannidhi removed from 'Bachchan...'

Director Shashank took a long time to select the heroines for his film, 'Bachchan - The Angry Young Man'. But, he took no time in opting Kannada actress, Deepa Sannidhi out of the film.

“I was the first one to finalise Deepa for my movie and she also attended the muhurath. But, as I started with the movie, I had to make some changes in the story and with the current plot, Deepa will not do justice to the character. That is the only reason, I had to opt her out of 'Bachchan...',” reasons Shashank.

This is not the first time, the director has taken such a decision. With his last film 'Jarasandha', Shashank had finalised Aindrita Ray for the film but later replaced her with actress Praneetha Subhash. “It happens, but in my case, it occurred twice,” says Shashank clarifying that it was not intentionally done. “Not that I love choosing and later taking them out. In fact, I went to Deepa’s house along with my producer, sat with her and put forward my thoughts and she was also convinced. I have watched her work. She is one of the most talented heroines in the younger lot. She has a good scope in her career. I will definitely work with her again,” he added.

Deepa, who was quite excited to be part of 'Bachchan...' was quite upset when the she learnt about Shashank’s decision.  “Every story has some character changes as they get started with the film. At this point of my career, it was not right to play the role after knowing from Shashank that I will not do justice by doing the character,” explains Deepa.

The actress had to come to terms with the fact after she attended the muhurath of the film, which was held a few days ago. “There is a first time for everything and initially I did not know how to react to such a situation. But I spoke with the director and sorted it out. Shashank is a very nice director and I respect his decision. I parted ways with the film after a mutual understanding,” she says.
