'Egea' in flying colours

\'Eega\', starring Sudeep in the lead, has already created enough buzz considering the fact that the hero of the film, is an animated fly.

A movie is successful in showbiz, if it is  already making a buzz even before its release.

For Kicha Sudeep, who has completed battling with the ‘fly’ is currently hogging headlines in connection with 'Eega'.  Bigwigs from Kannada industry spoke about the hero, which is an animated fly and the villain of the film Sudeep. “Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city and I wanted 'Eega' to be a cosmopolitan film in south,” said producer, Suresh Babu.

Sudeep admits, “Working with SS Rajamouli is like winning an award. Apart from shooting and doing a film with the director, I learnt how one can be passionate about work and how to be with the family.”Sudeep adds, “Somewhere I feel I should be wanted. The selection which goes through before doing a film is very important and I made sure that I never let my director down at any point during the shoot.”

Music director Keeravani said, “I have always been a Kamal Hassan fan. Now with Eega I have become a Sudeep fan too. I want to do more films with him,” President of Producers Association, Munirathna said. “Sudeep’s voice is the biggest asset, which is priceless. I feel proud that we have a combination of a director like Rajamouli and Sudeep in 'Eega'.”

 KV Chandrasekhar, President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce also expressed his views about the film. “Wherever we go we see the house fly, but today that fly is the hero in 'Eega'. With this film, Magadheera Rajamouli should become 'Eega' Rajamouli.” The film will be released across 1200 theatres in four languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, which has created lot of curiosity. Crazy Star Ravichandran said, “Masterpieces like Suresh Babu, Rajamouli and Sudeep joining hands together, is itself a success. Hero becoming a villain and a fly becoming the hero is only possible by a director like Rajamouli."

Sharing a few words about his best friend Sudeep was Darshan. “A hero getting a tag as a villain is quite challenging. I am happy to say that my friend Sudeep is not only a multilingual actor but a multi-star hero.”

'Eega' has been done with 2234 visual effect shots said Rajamouli who has had eight successful films in the recent past. “At the end of my career, I can look back and say I am happy to have worked with a fantastic actor like Sudeep. He is a bundle of talent - a superb director, a singer, painter and a make up artiste,” said Rajamouli, who plans to convert the film into 3D version. “We have made an effort to bring out a good product. We plan to release the 3D version by December. I want the whole nation to sit up and watch Sudeep’s talent in the animation combined realistic fly cinema,” he added.
