BANGALORE: Sandalwood’s most sought-after couple Diganth and Aindrita Ray turned up the heat as they sashayed down the ramp as showstoppers in Phoenix Market City, Whitefield. Decked up in shades of vibrant red, they caught all eyes as crowds thronged to witness the spectacular fashion show put together by Max’s head designer Kamakshi Kaul.

Models like Aziz and Shetty flaunted Max's Summer Holiday Edition and strutted down the headway in cool, breezy colours in tune to the groovy music. Bright orange ballerinas, light fabric tunics and floral kaftans brandished the runway as the colours shouted to be seen. The theme ‘holiday on a tropical island’ pans out to showcase the bright geometric prints and lively spirit of summer and targets customers in a holiday mood. To support the zesty theme, the choreography was buoyant and unique as the models strode cheerfully and all pepped up, spurting with energy.

Harini who viewed the show said enthusiastically “I’m simply infatuated with the collection! The clothes look comfortable as well as chic. The colourful neon pants and gold flips are a definite a must-have.”

The apparel though quite simple, will do wonders when accessorised well. With a blend of contemporary and western at affordable rates, it appeals to customers of all age groups.“I like to wear least clothes in summer,” says Aindrita Ray, one of the hottest female celebs in the Kannada film industry. Speaking to City Express, she stated some of the perks summer has to offer. “In summer, I love to sport dresses with belts as they are very convenient and not much time needs to be spent over accessorising. I love to shop, especially shoes and bags. A fashion accessory I always must have is a watch. I adore watches,” she said with a smile.

The star icon of Sandalwood, Diganth also has a few words to say when it comes to fashion “Whenever I’m free I check online for the latest trends. I try to keep myself updated. I keep it simple when it comes to clothes; I’m always seen sporting a t-shirt and denim; denims are my favourite. A must-have fashion accessory is a pair of sunglasses and a watch. Some of my favourite designers are Rohit Bal, Rocky S and Rituparna.” When asked about his unusual long and shaggy hairdo, he said, “I’m currently growing it for a project in June with Ramya, by a famous director from Andhra Pradesh.” When it comes to the break in Bollywood, he said, “I’ve been approached by a couple of film makers and I’ve given a few auditions. So let’s hope for the best.”

The crowd turned frenzy as they tried to catch a glimpse of the duo. Muzzamil Azziz a Mumbai-based model said, “This show was different from the others as the atmosphere was lively and we were laughing and talking the whole time we walked the ramp. I absolutely loved the choreography and loved the clothes.”
