Whether his films are playing in the theatres or not, Gandhinagar is always eager to discuss Puneeth Rajkumar’s movies. Even before the actor completes shooting for Ninnindale in the US - after which he will start working on Dokudu’s remake in November - speculation is rife on whom Puneeth will select to direct his next project.
Director-turned-actor Pawan Wadeyar secretly met Puneeth to discuss a story with him. “I was told not to reveal this for sometime by my producers and Puneeth. But it has turned out to be an open secret,” says Pawan, adding, “As I have expressed before, my next film, Ranavikrama, will be action packed and I thought Puneeth would fit the bill. What was more exciting was that he liked my story and has asked me work on the script.”
Pawan is currently in his hometown Kunigal to celebrate Deepavali. “I need to do a lot of homework on the script before I present it to Puneeth. He will have different get-ups and that needs time to be worked out well. I have also started writing my song for the film. I can talk more about this once we finalise the script,” he says.
We are also hearing that Puneeth has shown keen interest in director Suri's next project, which too has been discussed with the actor. Now the question is whose film will Puneeth take up after Dokudu. Watch this space.
