Constant Trouble for Pooja's Films

Constant Trouble for Pooja's Films

Looks like Abhinetri cannot stop getting into controversies before its release. Just when the makers got the case filed by Bhagya Krishnamurthy cleared, next in line is director Puttanna Kanagal’s daughter who feels her father has been shown in a bad light in the film. We hear that she is planning to approach the chamber in this regard. However, Satish Pradhan is quick to clarify the matter and says, “As a director, I have followed his direction. I honour Puttanna’s work and respect him as a director. Why would I want to get into his personal life? The story is inspired by actress Kalpana and her life. Puttanna is in the picture but we have not disrespected him. Where is the necessity to create a different story? They can’t assume anything about Abhinetri before even watching the film. The news of Puttanna’s daughter being unhappy came to my ears too. If it reaches the chamber and they call me, I would definitely abide by their instructions.”

Meanwhile, there is a fresh development with Pooja's upcoming film Muthulakshmi. Apparently, Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi is upset because of the delay in shoot. But Jaggi denies the rumours and says, “The film is delayed but Muthulakshmi and the rest of the crew are aware of the reason. In fact, Pooja has clearly told us that she will start shooting once Abhinetri gets released.”

When asked about the issue, H D Gangaraju, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, said, “I heard about the issues with Pooja's films. Firstly, nobody from Puttanna Kanagal’s family has spoken to me directly regarding this. I will look into it once it is officially reported. As for Pooja’s other film, even I was told that Muthulakshmi will be visiting the chamber soon, but she is yet to come. We will definitely solve the cases and find a way out.”
