I Am Yet to Reach a Stage Where I Can Finance My Own Project

Neenasam Satish, who is known for his film Lucia, will soon  launch a home production.

While Satish is currently busy promoting Love in Mandya, a film produced by Udaya Prakash and directed by Arasu Anthare, he is also on a location hunt for his own film. The actor is finalising the star cast and the title.

Speaking about the risk of taking up production, he says, "Of late, I am getting the same kind of roles and I am bored. In order to break the trend, I chose a new subject. And, when I thought about investment, I realised that not many producers would come forward to put in money for the script I have chosen. That's when I decided to become a producer."

He also clarified that few of his friends have joined hands with him in financing the film. "I have not earned a lot and nor reached a stage where I can finance my own project," he says.

Along with his home production, which is yet to be titled, Satish has also accepted another project Parde Ke Peeche....? directed by Pranav Shankar.

"I liked the script and agreed to be part of it. I will have to work out the dates between my own film and Parde Ke Peeche...? I also have a film with director Vijay Prasad, which is yet to take off," he says.

Hariprriya to star  with Satish

Pranav Shankar has chosen Hariprriya to play the lead role opposite Satish in Parde Ke Peeche...?. "It is a new combination and I thought they both fit the part well," says Shankar.

Talking about choosing a Hindi title for a Kannada film he says, "I wanted to have a Kannada title and looked for one, which was suitable for the story. Unfortunately the words in Kannada were bookish and I felt that people would not connect with such titles. That's the only reason I went for a Hindi title."

"The audience only see what comes on big screen but they are not fully aware of what happens behind the scenes. My film mostly talks about the struggles that go behind making a film. And I have not only considered the actors but the professional hazards that the director, producer and the entire film unit faces when they are part of a project," Shankar says. Parde Ke Peeche...? will go on floors in September.
