U/A Certificate for Ulidavaru Kandante

Nagendra Swami, the Regional Censor Board Officer, who was busy with election duty in Jharkhand, finally  watched Ulidavaru Kandante (UK) directed by Rakshit Shetty on Saturday and gave it a U/A certificate. The film’s team is now integrating last minute changes before the film hits the theatres this Friday as per the Censor Board’s rules.

Suni, one of the producers of the film, said, “We have to let go of the Koli fight (cock fight) scenes because we don’t have the animal rights certificate. Secondly, the Censor Board has asked us to mute some words. They also felt that we had a lot of cigarette smoking scenes, which need to be cut down. We respect the Censor Board’s verdict about our movie and will make the changes accordingly. Personally, they were happy with the content of our movie. Since they need to follow some rules and regulations, they requested us to make changes,” he adds. The team has already given advance to all theatres and will have to stick to the release date (March 28). “We are left with only four days to get the final version. Our entire team is working towards the final copy,” he says.
