Crazy Star Ravichandran has always managed to surprise the industry. Right from the launch of his films to his work as a hero, director, editor or lyricist, he has always set a trend. And now, he is launching his son Manoranjan Ravichandran in the film Ranadheera-Premalokadalli.

While the title reminds us of two of his mega movies Premaloka and Ranadheera, Ravichandran plans to launch the film on his birthday, which falls on May 30.

“The thought of launching my son on my birthday came about because it is an auspicious day. My son and I will be off to Tirupati to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara. It was something that I did every time I started on a film. I had stopped the practice for a while. After the darshan, we will be heading to Nice Road, where the shoot will take place near PES College,” he says.

While Ravichandran uses his creativity to add a lot of hues to his movies, his launches too have set a benchmark. And the actor is making sure that his son’s film will be no exception. The film will begin with a unique invitation and a song shoot, which is supposed to cost `1 crore with a gathering of around 15,000 people. “If I step in, it will happen in a big way. We are working on a huge set with a lot of fire engines that will pump out water for the sequence. There will be more to the song. And it is more special because I have been looking forward to launching my son for quite some time now. My films Premaloka and Ranadheera are still in people’s minds and with the two titles coming together, the effect will only get bigger. I am getting involved in every step of the filmmaking process, which will be one-of-its-kind,” he explains.

Ranadheera  will be the third generation film for the family. “My son will be the third from my family to enter the industry after me and my father N Veerasami. We have served this industry and will continue in future too,” he says.
