Going beyond just the skin of the character, actor-director-producer Nagashekhar is contemplating going through some drastic changes for his character in his upcoming film Sanju Mathu Geetha, which he is producing and acting in. Nagashekhar is in talks with experts to have his lips ‘altered,’ something which according to him is crucial for the authenticity of the character.
“I have spoken to my friend who is an expert in plastic surgery. He has warned me that it might be difficult to get the lips back to normal. Meanwhile, I am also in touch with a makeup person from abroad, who says that it can be done with makeup. If he fails, I have no option but get my lips ‘slit.’ I can do anything for this film as it is my dream project,” he states.
The film, which will be directed by his brother Ramchiru, has been taking time to go on floors. Reasoning the delay, Nagashekhar says,“There was a time when we were making enough from the satellite rights. But today, everything needs to start from scratch and getting investment is a tough task. I am sourcing money for the project and some money will soon come my way. That was the only reason for me to have taken all this time,” he says.
Nagashekhar has fixed the muhurath date for the film on November 1. “I am planning to have the muhurath on the formation day of the state since I want to dedicate Sanju Mathu Geetha to all Kannadigas,” he says.
Meanwhile Nagashekar’s film in four languages with Tapsee in the lead will go on floors by January, next year. The film in Kannada is titled as Gadiyara. With Chetan playing the lead in the Kannada and Malayalam version, Nagashekhar will be finalising the heroes for Telugu and Tamil, soon.
