Killing Veerappan Gets More Exciting

Ramgopal Varma is always keen to raise the bar for  filmmaking and add elements which have the potential of reinventing the formula of commercial success. So, while his ambitious project, Killing Veerappan is making the right noises, he is leaving nothing unexplored. He has plugged in add-ons to create a continuous buzz and atmosphere of excitement around the film.

Shivanna, who plays the investigating officer and will be the pivotal character in the film, will sing a song. The recording will take place next week after the actor is back from his schedule on August 7. Apparently, this song will be distinct from the rest of his tracks as the tune is quite fast, and the actor himself had volunteered to sing the song, reveals a member from the production house.

Killing Veerappan is being made in other languages as well. Hence, the makers have decided to promote the Hindi version in style. They have planned to rope in Honey Singh for a music track to be composed by Jeet Ganguly, one of the composers of Ashiqui 2. “Though a subject like Veerappan is universal, we felt that a stylised promotion is required for the Hindi version. So, we are planning to add a little zing with a track from Honey Singh,” says a team member from the production house.

Adding the oomph factor will be a special dance performed by Mumaith Khan who is planning to come back after a surgery. The song will be placed in all versions of the film.
