Ganesh's Silver Outing with Buguri

The actor’s 25th film is all set to hit the theatres along with Uppi 2, but the actor’s humility is evident when he says that he still feels he is making his debut
Ganesh's Silver Outing with Buguri

In the entertainment world, where the concept of good winning over evil makes the moolah, few heroes evolve beyond the tried and tested waters.

Ganesh is surely one among those who have been integral to the formula but he also once in a while, pushes the envelope.

The actor, who gave a fresh new face to romantic films in Sandalwood, has blossomed over the years and matured with time, but many atrribute his success to his humility which has gifted him his goodwill in a cut-throat industry.

Having changed the trends of filmmaking with Mungaru Male, Ganesh is all set for the release of his 25th film Buguri. “Naavu Buguri thirugisdivi... evaga audience eshtapati aa buguri thirugisbeku.” (I have rotated the top and it is now left to the audience to see it spin around and appreciate it), says the actor, emphasising that the film means a lot to his career.

“Whether it was my first film or my

25th film, I have always pushed myself to ensure that I entertain the audience.  That way, Buguri is an ideal movie to mark my silver jubilee as it has all the ingredients of what one expects from me,” he says.

Ganesh compares his film journey to Buguri, which comes with a tagline - Preethiya Sutha (Around love). “Life is like ‘Buguri’. What goes around comes around. That’s the story of everybody’s life and the story of Buguri too. I am only trying to give back to my fans who have showered so much of love and blessings upon me,” he says.

According to the actor, after completing 25 films, he realises that he is at a stage, when experimentation

with something new is key. “Like everybody, even I expect something different from each film and so each film remains just like my debut. The best is out there and will come in the due course of time. My pursuit to completely satisfy the expectations of the audience will continue. Of course, a silver jubilee film will get an extra attention and I am sure the film will not disappoint anybody,” he says.

On working with director MD Sridhar, Ganesh says, “Buguri is my third film with Sridhar. Both my previous films Challata and Krishna with him were hits. I hope this too will join the list. In fact, I have given my wholehearted support to Sridhar for the film since it is made under his production house.”

Buguri also sees Erica Fernandes and Richa Panai in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, Ganesh continues  to try and  meet expectations of his fans with films like Style King, Zoom and Mungaru Male 2, for which he is currently shooting in Shakaleshpur.

‘Uppi as a director has his own credibility’

Ganesh is glad that Buguri is releasing along with Uppi 2. “Previously too, Uppi’s Shivam and my film Kushikushiyagi released on the same day. Uppi as a director has his own credibility and values. And in my opinion, when it comes to what makes an ideal director, Upendra is a perfect example. I have grown up watching his films like Om, A, Upendra and other films. I have a high regard for him. He is someone who aims for perfection. I just hope that both the films ensure a double damaka,” he says.
