Actor Srujan Lokesh who is setting popularity records on the small screen with his Majaa Talkies is now taking the time off to team up with his friend and actor Darshan in Jaggu Dada. The film directed and produced by Raghavendra Hegde will see the actor in comic misadventures along with the hero. Srujan’s role will be on the lines of Arshad Warsi in the Munnabhai series. The actor confirmed the project and said, “It is a lovely script and I am glad to have bagged a good role. I share a good rapport with Darshan with whom I have worked in films like Navagraha and Chingari, among others. I will join him in Mumbai where I will be camping for a 15-day schedule.”
The film’s other lead actors and Srujan form an interesting ensemble which includes Vishal Hegde, Vishnu and a newcomer, Ashwin who has been doing television serials. What is most interesting is that Yuva, an auto driver who has a passion for acting has been roped in to play a role in the film.
Meanwhile, Srujan was happy to have Darshan in the 50th episode of Majaa Talkies. “It is a sheer coincidence, “ says Srujan, adding, “I had met Darshan after I came out of Big Boss and was holidaying in Mysore. I had then told him about Majaa Talkies and wanted him for my first episode. Sadly, he could not make it because he was going out of town. But he had then told me that he will be there for my 50th episode and he did participate in the comedy show hosted by me. I am sure people will love to watch Darshan on the small screen.
The episode will be aired this weekend.
