Sandalwood’s first family is celebrating. And they have a reason to do so. Shivarajkumar’s elder daughter Nirupama will soon wed her college sweetheart Dileep, this Monday. Shivarajkumar and wife Geetha are making sure that the wedding is a memorable event.
While the much talked about event will bring together the biggies of the Indian film industry on the day of the wedding, most of the big names in Sandalwood are also lending their presence to the days preceding the big day.
Producer Rockline Venkatesh is overseeing every aspect of the wedding, keeping aside all his commitments because he wants it to be a memorable event for Nirupama whom he treats like his own daughter. A permanent Mantap at Palace Grounds
Reportedly, Rs 3.50 crore has been spent on a mantap to be set up at Palace Grounds where the wedding will take place on August 31. Sources state that the mantap will be a permanent structure considering its grandeur.
The family is expecting at least 1 lakh people from all walks of life. Around 7000 people will be able to eat at one go. There will be a separate entry point for VIPs but the food will be the same for everybody.
Family visiting Gajanur today
Various pre-wedding functions are going on in the family at Shivarajkumar’s residence. As per their tradition, the entire Shivarajkumar’s family will be visiting Gajanur today, which is Rajkumar’s hometown. The ceremonies will be followed by lagna on Thursday.
Varamahalakshmi habba will be celebrated and Varapooja will take place on Sunday. She will tie the knot on Monday at the muhurath chosen for the big day.
Star-studded wedding
The reception hosted on Monday evening will be a star-studded affair and there will be a grand reception held in the evening. While the entire Sandalwood would be present, other big stars have also confirmed their presence including Nagarjuna, director SS Rajamouli, Rajinikanth, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, Amitabh Bachchan Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and Shivakarthikeyan, Chiranjeevi and family et al.
