Actress Remya Turns Singer for Rudratandava

Remya Nambeesan who recently made her entry into the Kannada industry with PC Shekar’s Style King, has now been introduced as a singer in Rudratandava directed by Guru Deshpande. The director chose her for her good singing voice among other reasons.

Rudratandava is a remake of a Tamil film Pandiya Naadu which had Vishal in the lead role. “Since,  Remya had sung the same song in the original which was a hit, we opted to use her voice in the remake as well,” says Guru. The lyrics to the song written by K Kalyan stick to the same tune as in the Tamil version and there are only a few changes to suit the local context. The song in Kannada goes, Try try try... training koditini once more try.

“The song was sung 15 days ago in Chennai. Remya, who is starring in Style King, will also be singing a couple of songs in the film. Remya is an established actress and singer in the Tamil and Malayalam industry. We are glad that she is beginning her  singing career in Sandalwood with Rudratandava,” says Guru.
