Hariprriya’s fascination with mermaids is no secret as the actress flaunts a huge mermaid tattoo which she got four years ago at a tattoo studio in Hyderabad. In a recent photoshoot, the actress once again revealed her love for these mythical creatures. Dressed in a blue fishtail outfit and swimming about in a pool, she looked every bit like a real life mermaid. “I love the idea of a mermaid and I feel that this human-fish hybrid is full of positive vibes. In fact, that is why I got a tattoo of it on my back. And even though it took over  two hours, I bore the pain as it was my heart’s desire,” says Hariprriya.

“I know that mermaids exist only in fairy tales but I can’t help being fascinated by the idea of this girl who has the lower body of a fish and can live underwater, but also desires to be on land like an ordinary human,” she says.

The actress hopes that someday she is considered by a director who makes a film featuring mermaids as it would be a dream-come-true for her. “Unfortunately all the mermaid movies are made in Hollywood and sadly, I have not heard any filmmaker in the South keen to work on such scripts. However, given a chance, I would like to be Sandalwood’s mermaid,” she says.

Apparently the actress along with her friends designed the mermaid outfit and carried out the photoshoot which took an hour.

Hariprriya has a bit of time on her hands as she has currently completed the talky portions as well as the dubbing for Ricky and is now waiting to shoot the songs for Ranna with Sudeep and Bullet Bashya with Sharan.
