R-The King's Teaser to be Launched on Vinay's Birthday

After receiving acclaim for his  debut performance in Siddhartha, actor Vinay Rajkumar has been busy preparing himself for his character in the upcoming film R - The King. Having temporarily shifted to Mumbai, the actor said that he wanted some space for himself to be able to get into the skin of the character.

“When I signed R - The King, I knew that I had to wait for nearly three to four months for the project to go on the floors. So instead of sitting at home, I wanted to utilise the time in learning the various facets of acting and that is what I am currently doing in Mumbai,” says Vinay who wishes to immerse himself completely into the film. “I am working with my trainer, who is my personal tutor and am not in touch with anybody. I am happy to be in this private space as it will help me grow,” he adds.

The actor will, of course, be taking time out to be in Bengaluru to celebrate his birthday with family and his fans. “The birthday has been planned by my family and friends. This is my first birthday after I became an actor and I am looking forward to seeing all my fans and it is an opportunity to meet them,” he says.

His birthday will also mark the teaser and poster launch of his second film. “The occasion will give everyone a sneak peek into the genre that director Prem has chosen for me ,” says the actor.

Vinay adds, “Prem keeps at it till he gets that perfect shot. Working with him brings up one’s enthusiasm and you are encouraged to perform better. I am now looking forward to start the project as through it, I will get a chance to learn more from him.”

Speaking about the title, Vinay states that there could be many meanings attached  to it.

“R can be revolution, Rajya, Rajkumar, Raj...the audience will get to know the original meaning once the film releases,” he says.

Prem who is gearing up for the teaser and poster launch says that it will not be the first look of Vinay but the first look of the action film. “I am not showing his look as the teaser does not show much of his face,” says Prem.

According to the director, the film is made on a big budget and talks are on to make it in Hindi too.
