Making his directorial debut with Run Antony, Raghu Shastry is a convinced man. He has kept his word of completing the Vinay Rajkumar-starrer on schedule, although he took three days extra to reshoot some scenes. The film has progressed to post-production work and dubbing will start anytime soon.

The film which was launched on December 14 last and started shoot from December 29 is planned for a May-end release. “My first film will be a memorable one for me even if I go on to make 100 movies. Aptly, there was a lot of bonding in the team,” said Raghu, who added that even though the shooting got completed, people in the team were emotionally connected. “We had planned a 55- day schedule but it got extended, and on the last day, everybody on the  sets got a bit emotional,” he recollected.

The first-time director made a special mention of the production house, Vajreshwari Combines, crediting the timely completion to their complete cooperation. “More than the movie making I was overwhelmed with the respect I got from the production house. They did not even once make me feel that it is my first film. I should be grateful to have worked under their banner,” he said.

Run Antony is an action-thriller and Raghu has also written the story. The film is produced by Raghavendra Rajkumar’s younger son, Guru Rajkumar. Apart from Vinay,  the film features Rukshar Mir in the female lead with Sushmita Joshi, Devaraj and Bullet Prakash, among others in the star cast.
