Ragini Drops 15 Kilos

The actor is all set to debut in B-Town this year

Ragini Dwivedi is back in the limelight after a three-month hiatus.

She’s currently the talk of the town for her lean figure, pretty evident in the recent pictures City Express got hold of.

The actor is happier for the change, but admits that the weight loss programme was tough.

“It almost took me two-and-half months to get back to being lean. I couldn’t have done that between shoots. That was the main purpose for my break,” says Ragini, who went to Jindal for 15 days.

After that, she worked out on her own, and did some power yoga too. “Besides, intake has completely gone down -- from 2000 calories to 500 calories. I was more on a liquid diet. It hasn’t been easy, but I was determined,” says Ragini, who claims to have lost about 15 kg.

The artiste who has been part of action flicks needed her to look bigger, something she had to maintain for sometime.

“This year, Ranachandi is the only action film. I will now be part of more commercial films. So it is good to be lean once more,” she adds.

Her new-found fitness has brought back her confidence.

“It was not easy, especially when you get food you want to binge on. Of course, Shankar, my trainer and dietician were really after my life. From my end, I realised that I had to be focused. Initially I thought it doesn’t make a difference and I was wrong. I used to drink 500 ml of coke everyday, which was like an addiction. It has completely stopped now,” she says.

With the lean look, she’s all set to make her foray into B-Town. “I am getting into Bollywood this year. I have a few offers on table. But I would like to clarify that being lean has nothing to do with those. I understand that every industry looks for a certain kind of body type. Likewise,

Bollywood looks for something different in me. However, I wanted to see the leaner me,” she says.

Ragini Dwivedi is currently shooting for Naane Next CM, while she waits to sign her next big project.
