Two Releases for Ganesh in May

Style King, whose release was delayed by months, will hit theatres mere weeks ahead of Zoom.

Ganesh, who was last seen in Buguri (August 2015) hasn't had a release in a while. However the actor, who is commited to his work, has completed the shoot for four projects - Style King, Zoom, Pataki and Mungaru Male 2. He is now on the sets of his fifth project Gandu Endare Gandu besides anchoring Super Minute on small screen.

The good news is that we will see not one but two of his films releasing in May. While Style King has finally set May 6 as its release date, the makers of Zoom have marked May 20 on their calendar.

P C Shekar's Style King, which features the actor in two different roles, was officially launched in 2014, but faced multiple  delays and is now expected to hit the theatres on May 6. This affected the release of his other films. And, Prashanth Raj, who is ready with his film Zoom, is adamant on May 20 release.

There is a whiff of trouble. Shekar says, "I had discussed with the makers of Zoom and told them that I will be out with Style King in May and, I don't understand why they announced their release in the same month." But director and producer Prashanth Raj says that his patience was tested. "I have been holding on to my film for long and I can't wait anymore," he says. "I have given enough time, which was not made use of. Now, I have decided to release the film on May 20."

Ask Ganesh, he himself is non-committal. "If it was in my control, I would have organised it better. I am an actor and can't decide on the release date."

However, the Mungaru Male actor is happy that once the movies are out, it clears the way for his other films - Pataki and Mungaru Male 2, which are in post-production. "There is nothing to be upset about as both are my films. If Style King does well it is obvious that other films will get a push. But it is the prerogative of the producers, how they want to release the films. Now that the release dates are set for Style King and Zoom, everything will be sorted out," he says.
