'I never felt a stranger to a new language'

It is important for any actress to exercise sound judgement when picking her debut in Kannada, it decides her future. South Indian actress Deeksha Seth is making hers with her first, Jaggu Dada. The actress says she is confident about her pick after having seen the final product.

"Before Jaggu Dada, I did get a lot of offers in Kannada. But for some reason or the other, I could not take them up. When this film was offered, I took it because it had a mass appeal. However, Jaggu Dada is a family story, which is also important to me because I like people going together and enjoying a film," she says.

While Deeksha says that

Darshan is a great co-star, a kind person and easy to get along with, she also had some good things to say about Raghavendra Hegde, a first time director, who is also the producer of the film.

"Raghavendra Hegde being an editor before has understood all the aspects of filmmaking. He knew which scenes are necessary for the film. That way, he didn't waste time. But, if he didn't have the sets right, he would delay the shoot to get things right. Not all can be as smart," says Deeksha.

"Though I was a stranger on Jaggu Dada sets initially,  everyone soon made me feel like I'm one of them."

Along with Jaggu Dada, the actress is also looking forward to the release of her Hindi film, which she says will be out this year. "It is a movie called Saaath Kadam. Mohit Jha is debuting as a director with it and I am paired opposite Amit Sadh.  I am waiting for these two films to release as it helps me to take a decision on my next project," she says.
