Court Order or Not, Will Continue Shoot: Srinivas Raju

It seems controversies are part of Srinivas Raju's directorial journey.  And he takes them in his stride.

This time, the City Civil Court has stayed the shooting of Dandupalya 2, but Raju has decided to continue regardless.

The film's third schedule is slated to kick off on May 9.    "People have taken me for granted and I am used to working around it," he told City Express. "But that doesn't stop me from shooting. My lawyer will take care of the legalities.

I only have to channel my energy towards being creative."

The six Dandupalya killers alive have requested the court to stay the film's shooting as their case is still pending.

"They object that I am making the film without their consent, and portraying them in a bad light.

That, they claim, is affecting their case in court," he says.

The director insists that these allegations are not true.

"They are not aware of the content or characters in my film. Just because I have titled it Danduplaya, they can't assume the film is entirely based on them," he says.

Meanwhile, City Express has got hold of Shruti's look in the film. The actor, known for her roles in Hetha Karulu,  Aagatha   and Puttakkana High way plays a  reporter.

The film features Pooja Gandhi, Makrand Deshpande, Kari Subbu and Ravi Kale among the ensemlbe star cast.
