A ravind Iyer, who was last seen in Kirik Party along with Rakshit Shetty, is all set to go solo with Karthik Saragur’s directorial debut. What excites the actor about this project is that the underlying theme of the film is food and its connection with people, which Arvind believes is rarely dealt with in Sandalwood. City Express got hold of the actor’s look for the film - he looks macho with his hipster beard.
Arvind, who did his Masters in Automobile Engineering, worked in London for five years only to come back to India to deal with a family emergency. “I had planned to settle here, but couldn’t cope with the work culture,” says Arvind.“Acting was always there, in the back of my mind, and I decided to pursue it. I had taken acting lessons in London and was trained in vtheatre.”
The itch to act took hold in 2012 and, after four years, he has made it to the lead. The actor had auditioned for Hemanth M Rao’s debut project, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, but could not make it. Aravind was suggested by the director for Kirik Party, and he is happy to have been part of a successful film. “Today my patience has paid me well,” says Aravind. “I am working with Pushkar Films, for the project which is co produced by Hemanth.”
