Actresses, across film industries, suffer a career handicap after marriage. Their freedom is restricted, with more personal responsibilities, and roles are few with social prejudice. Radhika Pandit, who recently entered into the much celebrated wedlock with Yash, understands the limitations that come with marriage, but according to her, she has an open-minded future with Yash supporting her wholeheartedly.
“People think that, for a married actress, all that remains is to take care of the household or work in select movies or start a production house. It may be true, but for me, I am still around and active. Yash and I remain friends and leave work out of the equation, though we take each other’s advice.
I have never taken up films for anybody else. I have the same mindset that I had when I started with Moggina Manasu. I do not see myself limited in any way,” says Radhika, who is celebrating her birthday today.
The actress has signed her next project and an official announcement is planned during her birthday celebrations. “I cannot reveal any details. I have discussed the script and as a team, we thought it needed some improvisation, which is now in the process.
But for all those, who thought I have stopped acting, I will be back to work soon,” the actress stresses and says that during the much required two-month break, she was actively part of the activities of YashoMarga, which is project taken up to rejuvenate lakes in North Karnataka. “I was concentrating on the project all throughout. Now it is time to bounce back to work,” she says.
Birthday Celebrations
This year will be a special for Radhika since she will be celebrating her birthday with Yash in their home. “There will be people from different parts of Karnataka coming to wish me. The overwhelming feeling will be doubled since Yash will be beside me throughout the celebrations,” says Radhika.
