It seems like college life just doesn’t seem to get over for Rashmika Mandaanna - in real and reel life as well.

The actress, who played a college student in her debut Kannada film, Kirik Party, continues to play a student in her first Telugu film as well. Rashmika, who is currently on the sets of her first Tollywood venture, is shooting at a historical college building in Guntur, along with Naga Shourya, the hero of this yet-to-be-titled movie. “I have been shooting for the last 8 days for this film in a college that is said to be 180-years-old. The makers were very keen to shoot here, and we will have to complete the required scenes before the college re-opens. The rest of the film will be shot in Hyderabad,” she says.

About working in another industry, Rashmika says, “I now know how important it is to travel and get to know the thought processes of people from different places. The thinking of people in two different places in the same country is so different - I find this so amusing. However, the people here make you feel like this is your family,” she adds.

The actress will then be back in Bengaluru on May 4 to attend her BA exams. On the Kannada film front, the actress is part of A Harsha’s directorial venture, Anjaniputra, starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Suni’s Chamak, in which she is paired opposite Ganesh.
