Director R Chandru is currently shooting an introductory track for his forthcoming film, Kanaka, which stars Duniya Vijay.

Keeping in mind the actor's strengths, Chandru is adding action sequences to the opening song, which will also have the actor shake a leg. The makers are spending around ` 80 lakhs for the song and have created the set in a 20-acre land near Devanahalli. "This is a high-octane dance sequence, which has a mix of action and dance. The fight sequences are being directed by Thriller Manju, and the dance choreography is being done by Murali Master. 100 backup dancers mostly from Mumbai are being used in the song sequence" says Chandru.

For the song, customized costumes are being made in Chennai. "We have created a kingdom-like theme. The song will have around 25 jeeps, trucks, cars, giant cranes and tractors, which will form the backdrop," the director says.
Till now, two days of shooting has been completed. The next four days of shooting - from May 15-17 - will happen at Minerva Mills, where another huge set is being created," he adds.
Kanaka has Manvitha Harish as the female lead, with music by Naveen Sajju and cinematography by Sathya Hegde.
