Eeda, that will mark the directorial debut of editor Ajithkumar B, is an intense love story, says the director.

He says: "It is inspired by Romeo and Juliet. The entire focus is on how Aiswarya, a student from Mysuru, falls for the character played by Shane Nigam."

While the director says it will have all the flavours of a romance drama, the approach is realistic. "The kind of love in Eeda is something we see around us," he adds. The movie, most of which has been shot in Mysuru and Kerala, gives both the lead actors a great scope for performance.

Director AjithKumar thinks the duo really complement each other. "Shane and Nimisha are such great actors. Their chemistry is great and I believe they look perfect. Eeda is banking on it," he adds.

Meanwhile, Nimisha Sajayan, who plays Aishwarya in Eeda, says that the movie helped her
explore her artistic self.

"Playing Aishwarya was a great experience, which challenged me. I enjoyed it," she says. The actor is all praise for Shane Nigam.

"With Shane, it is a give and take process. He is such a great performer.  He is a natural actor and it is challenging," says Nimisha.
