Most actresses are vicitms of casting couch even in Malayalam cinema: Padmapriya

Actress Padmapriya, who was recently seen in the Hindi film 'Chef' with Saif Ali Khan has revealed that even in Malayalam cinema, actresses are victims of casting couch, not even senior actors are spared.

In a recent interview, the actress says that sexism is rampant in shooting locations and it is common that some would make vulgar comments and some would touch you 'accidentally'.

Padmapriya says that she has lost many film offers since she was not ready to compromise and conform to the demands put forward by industry men.

The 'Paradesi' actress goes on to say that it is even considered offensive for an actress to comlain about not getting paid.

Though the issue of casting couch is an everyday thing for industry men, the young generation of Malayalam cinema are coming out against these practices, says Padmapriya.
