It is always a mystery how certain actors, in spite of their versatile talent, are yet to find their space in Sandalwood. One such actor is Arun Sagar, who despite having many talents as an art director, actor and a feature film director, hasn’t got a good platform in the Kannada industry so far. He appears to maintain a low profile, even after the first season of the reality show Bigg Boss. Though he did not win, he did fare well.

Apart from Benki Patna, he has not chosen any big project on the silver screen. When everyone else seemed to enjoy being a part of the television show Comedy Circle, he has disappeared from there too. We all know that he has been a favourite of the audience, but what has kept him away for so long?

“I didn’t want to be part of Comedy Circle because I didn’t find the script interesting. Secondly, I am not the director of the comedy show. It is Vijay Prasad,” he mentions and further adds, “As far as Sandalwood is concerned, I guess my talent is less explored here and sadly a few actors who don’t know how to act have been able to find a good space. I have been questioned by many about why I am not taking up any films. I would love to do more, but the industry doesn’t really take me into consideration.”

The happy news is that Arun Sagar will now make a mark in Kollywood, and it is Sarathkumar, a popular Tamil actor, who is introducing him in the industry with Sanda Marutham.

“I consider this as a great opportunity with Sarath sir himself making special mention of me during a recent press meet saying, ‘We will be introducing a new talent, Arun Sagar from Sandalwood, to the Tamil industry’. I will be playing a negative role in this film.”

As for his other project Joker, he says, “This is a film with a huge budget. I will start the project sometime in August.”
