It’s common to see a director being praised by other filmmakers at a film related event. But what filmmaker Nanda Periyasamy received at the launch of his Azhagan Azhagi was an avalanche of appreciation and concern about his success.
Directors Ravi Mariah and Lingusamy spoke about how they became close friends with Nanda when there were working hard hoping to make it big in Kollywood.
Directors Samuthirakani and Rasu Maduravan praised the faith and confidence Nanda has in himself and wished for him to taste success, which has eluded him for long.
Actor Arya, who acted in the director’s debut film Oru Kallooriyin Kadhai, equated Nanda with Lingusamy and said both had similar ways of narrating a story filled with emotion.
