Naanthan-Da

The maverick director Ram Gopal Verma or RGV is thrilled that he’s currently making Naanthan Da in Tamil. Produced by Devi Sridevi Satish,  the film is being in shot in Telugu and Hindi as well.

Speaking at a media meet showcasing the trailer and songs,  RGV said, “New kind of cinema is happening these days in Tamil. The subject of my film is in keeping with the taste of the audiences here.”

The film stars Sarawanand and Anaika and is about a criminal, but with a difference.  RGV explains, “I like making crime stories maybe because I’m a criminal at heart but didn’t have the guts to enter crime, so I take it up on film! But jokes apart, family dramas and simple stories don’t interest me. In Naanthan Da, I’ve shown a new kind of criminal. The hero studies crime as a business model and aided by the Internet age of technology, he sets up a criminal nexus. Thanks to the Internet, goons need not even be present in a city but can have a criminal network across the country.  But its also a strong love story. I would say it’s a Rangeela meeting Satya.”
