Illayaraja's Music in Bilingual

Director Srinivas Thimmaiah’s forthcoming bilingual film in Tamil and Kannada will have music director Illayaraja scoring music for it. Srinivas says he is excited to be working with the music doyen.  “I was extremely happy when Ilayaraja agreed to score the music for this film,” he says.  The other big names in the movie include cinematographer Sukumar, who is known for movies like Mynaa and Kumki , he reveals.

The movie, which also marks actor Prem’s debut in Tamil, will be titled today. “I consider this movie as my baby and so, I would like to start with the naming ceremony. We have requested Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar to do the honours. I hope he accepts our invitation,” says Srinivas.

He says that he considers actor Prem as one of Sandalwood’s most intelligent artistes. “I am glad that this movie has brought us together. We plan to start shooting on Rajkumar’s birthday,” says Srinivas, who is yet to finalise the female lead for the movie. “We have come up with a list of actors including Milana Nagaraj, Chandini and Shanvi Srivatsava,” he says.

The title of the movie is rumoured to be Harishchandra or a name from one of Prem’s earlier movies.
