It’s official! Superstar Rajinikanth will be a part of the grand audio launch that the producers of Kochadaiiyaan have planned next month. With the only constant thing about the film’s production being the incessant delays in launching, over the last year, the audio launch date has been changed yet again. However, for the first time it’s good news, “The audio launch was supposed to be on March 12, but we have got confirmation that it will be pre-poned to March 9,” said a spokesperson for the film production unit.

The audio launch, which will also be the stage where the trailer and first look are unveiled, will be the only bit of publicity that Rajinikanth will do for Kochadaiiyaan, ahead of its April release.

Part of the reason for the film’s release could be because Deepika Padukone’s availability can be dicey given that she fainted after pulling a 30-hour-long shooting schedule on the sets of SRK’s Happy New Year and then went to an awards show. The film which has been shot using motion-capture technology has been under production for three years, almost immediately after projects like Sultan and Rana were dropped. Rajini’s last film was Shankar’s Enthiran and expectations are riding high for Kochadaiiyaan.
