Playing heroine to a serious Vivekh was a ‘good experience and a great opportunity’ for Swetha, who was previously seen as the second heroine in Bhoologam, as Ajith’s sister in Alwar, lead role in Valluvan Vasuki and in a Telugu film. In Naan Thaan Bala, she plays a Sourashtrian girl who sells boli. “I had to take up lessons in the Sourashtra language for playing the role, and also be seen selling bolis, the taste of which I personally hate,” she says.

A BTech and MBA graduate, Swetha took a dive into movies as it had always been her passion. She will be seen next in Rajvikraman’s Vanna Tamizh Penn Oruthi where she plays a homely village girl. “In the recent movies I have been playing homely roles. But, I am okay with modern ones,” she says.
