Sangeetha Bhat who entered the film industry with the Tamil flick Doo, directed by Shivaram, is all set to work in an upcoming woman-centric Tamil film, Bubblegum, directed by Rangaraj.

She has also worked on a few commercials and a couple of TV serials like Bhagavantharu and Chandra Chakori. But it was Life Super Guru that got her her next film in Kannada.

She says, “After a year on the small screen, I realised that if I wanted to get creative, I had to move on to the silver screen.”

She then worked on three films in Kannada—Mammu Tea Angadi, Kismat (helmed by Vijay Raghavendra) and Preethi Geethi Ithyadi.

The model-turned-actress recently took part in a photo shoot with Dhananjay for Eradane Sala, directed by Guruprasad.

The photo shoot was rather interesting, Sangeetha says. “It had romance and pathos. The director wants me to look natural, so I will not be dressed in rich costumes.”

“I am not the kind of actress who would be content being a glam doll. Even though I come from a modelling background, I am here to be an actor.

The actress feels Life Super Guru paved the way for her to meet the director.

“I am yet to go through the script. But the fact that I will be working with Guruprasad is exciting in itself,” she adds.
