The cast and crew of Director Bala’s next film Thaarai Thappattai, featuring Sasikumar and Varalakshmi in the lead, is to next head to the Andaman islands to can some important sequences of the film.
At present, the team is shooting at the Chennai Harbour. Says a source in the know, “Actor-director Sasikumar, who had to take rest after sustaining an injury to his arm while shooting for a sequence in the film, is fine now and therefore, work on the film is progressing at a brisk pace. Already two schedules have been completed.
The team will shoot for a period of five days at the Harbour and after that, a team of 80 members is to head to the Andaman Islands on August 13 to can some important sequences there.”
The film, which has caught the attention of film buffs for a number of reasons including the fact that it will be music director Ilaiyaraaja’s 1000 film, is likely to have a grand audio launch.Sources also hint that the film itself is likely to hit screens in October this year.
