Actor Srimurali, who launched the trailer of Vascodigama at City Engineering College on Kanakpura  Road was impressed with the idea of  behind the film. Around 3,000 college students and fans had gathered for the event. Kishore, who plays the lead character of  a Kannada lecturer, was also present. “Srimurali has been promoting our trailer, encouraging me and the rest of the team,” the  film’s director Madhuchandra told City Express.

An established actor doing this is quite rare nowadays.  The trailer was released in 200 colleges across Karnataka simultaneously on Monday. “Even though we couldn’t make it to all the colleges, the students took the initiative to launch it from their laptops at the canteen or library,” he said.

The students connected with the dialogues and appreciated the visuals and music. The general consensus, we hear, is that it’s a promising film. “Selfies of students at the launch are pouring in,” added Madhuchandra. The trailer was launched in colleges as the film is themed around education, albeit laced with entertainment.
