Superstar Rajinikanth's wife, Latha Rajinikanth has been booked by Bangalore Police for allegedly producing fake documents in a court in Bengaluru to get a gag order on the media.
The superstar's wife had allegedly forged a fake letterhead under the Publishers and Broadcast Welfare Association of India to acquire a court to gag 76 publications that had put out news about the money dispute she had with Ad Bureau in December 2014.
AdBureau had published a news alleging Latha for double-selling rights of Kochadiyaan. Latha had denied the charges and reportedly slapped a legal notice on Ad Bureau and Abhirchand Nahar after the newspapers published the news.
The gag order obtained by Latha was however, vacated by the Madras high court in March this year.
AdBureau was originally was brought in to help Kochadiyaan with post-production and gave Rs 10 crore to help the makers of the movie complete the film and release it. The company claims to have loaned the money to Superstar's wife only because she had signed herself as the guarantor.
Latha had also allegedly sold Tamil Nadu rights for Kochadiyaan with informing Ad Bureau, claims the agency.
