Punjabi actor Bhanu Sree Mehra, who was last seen in Telugu movie Varudu, will be debuting in an upcoming Kollywood movie in a lead role.
“Following my debut film in Telugu, offers poured in for Punjabi films. Now am stepping into Tamil, playing the love interest of Bharat. My character in the film is that of a newsreader, a girl who is very straight forward and harsh at times. The shoot will start soon,” she says.
Rewinding her entry into cinema, the actor says, “I finished my schooling in Dehradun. I landed in Mumbai to pursue my graduation in Mass Media. I started modelling for commercials and print ads. And then I got the chance to act in Varudu.”
“I drew inspiration from popular journalist Barkha Dutt. I salute all women who are into journalism today,” she says.
