The unit of Kathakali, which features actors Vishal and Catherine Tresa in the lead and which hit screens this Pongal, has deleted a dialogue in the film that offended a section of a minority community. Sources said that an office-bearer of the Tamil Nadu Vannar Peravai filed a plea in the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court stating that the film featured a dialogue that insulted the minority community and urged the court to order its removal. Members of the community had also requested Vishal to get dialogues that hurt their feelings removed. Vishal and his team deleted the dialogue which is 20 seconds long and part of a scene featuring Vishal and the villain. The team got the dialogue deleted after receiving the requisite permission from the Censor Board.
