Garuda Goes on Floors Next Month

Director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar will play the villain in the film, a considerable portion of which will be shot on sets erected on over 100 acres of leased land.

Actor Vikram’s film with director Thiru, which has been titled Garuda, will go on floors from April 1. As reported by City Express first, the film will feature Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar will play the villain in the film, a considerable portion of which will be shot on sets erected on over 100 acres of leased land. The land taken on lease to shoot the film is situated near Sriperumbudur.

The team is also expected to shoot portions of the film at Pollachi, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and in Arabian countries. Sources close to the unit of the film hint that Vikram is likely to sport three different get ups for the film, while Kajal Aggarwal will be seen speaking Tamil with a Coimbatore slang. Music for the film, which sources say will be an action-thriller, will be scored by Girinandh, while camera work will be by Richard M Nathan.
