Kollywood Celebs Watch 'Get Happy'

A special screening of director Manoj R Annadurai’s English film Get Happy, which recently won the Gold Remi Award at Houston, was held at Le Magic Lantern Theatre for the who’s who of Kollywood. The 97-minute film, which features Chris Riggi, Adam LaVorgna, Lauren Sweetser, Rebecca Blumhagen and Jordan Lane Price, has won other awards too, like the Best Romantic Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival.

The film is Manoj’s first attempt at filmmaking. It is about the ups and downs of life and how you can never appreciate the happy times unless you have the downs. The filmmaker, who  comes from a middle-class Indian family, made it big in the IT field before entering the world of films.

Several top celebrities from the Tamil film industry including director Mani Ratnam, were among those who attended the screening.
