When actor Vijay, director Atlee and music director G V Prakash came together to make Theri, expectations rose. Needless to say, they delivered, with Theri going on to smash box office records. Now, in the wake of the film’s phenomenal success, rumours are rife that the team is likely to reunite for another film.
Vijay is now working on his next film with director Bharathan. The film has Keerthy Suresh as the heroine and Santhosh Narayan and Praveen K L as music director and editor respectively. Sources in the industry suggest that after the film with Bharathan, Vijay may consider working with Atlee and GV Prakash for his next. Says a source, “Nothing has been finalised, but yes, they are considering working on another film after the Bharathan project. It may happen.”
At the time of Theri’s release, Atlee said he had plans to make a sequel to the film. This has also added credibility to rumours that suggest the trio is likely to come together again to make a film. Industry pundits, however, aren’t jumping the gun. “Nothing concrete has emerged so far, but it’s true that this project may happen,” they say.
