Director Nalan Kumarasamy, has now played a cameo in director Mani Seiyon’s next film featuring Sibi and Aishwarya Rajesh of Kakka Muttai (2014) fame. Director Mani confirmed the news to City Express, saying, “Director Nalan has done a cameo in our film. He plays a veterinary doctor. To be specific, he plays a fish doctor. He shot for a day for his part in the film.”
Mani says they wanted somebody well-known to play the character and hence considered director Nalan. “Director Nalan appears in an important scene just before the climax. So, we wanted someone popular to play it. We thought we would ask Nalan, and he got back to us saying that he found the part interesting and would like to play the role.”
Mani says that his film, which is yet to be titled, is almost on the verge of being completed. “Almost 90% of the film is done. Just another 10 days’ work is left. The movie has come out really well.”
Nalan’s last film Kaadhalum Kadandu Pogum (2016) featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian did well at the box office.
