On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, making these invalid. This decision is a blow to those who earn and stash black money. Interestingly, this was suggested in the Superstar’s film Sivaji (2006), directed by Shankar, in the end credits. They had a newspaper clipping, predicting that this would happen. Also, recently, there was a scene in Vijay Antony-starrer Pichaikaran, where one of the characters, suggests banning Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
