Awaiting the release of Priyadarshan’s Sila Samayangalil, Sriya Reddy, is playing the lead in Andaava Kaanom. The quirky trailer of the film has already crossed over two lakh views. Said to be a woman-centric film set in Theni, Vijay Sethupathi has given the voice over for the ‘andaa’ in the film and the actress plays the role of a rural woman. The film revolves around a stolen copper utensil,  law and order situation, and how Sriya finds it. Directed by newbie Velu, the story happens in a day, taking pot shots at the political milieu. A source said, “the rest of the cast is from the village. The film was wrapped up long ago, and release date will be announced soon.”
