It’s not often that you hear a director wrapping up the shoot for the montage sequences of songs before finalising the music director.
But Gautham Menon has helmed the songs based on his idea of the mood and visuals, in the Dhanush-starrer Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta (ENPT).
We hear he’ll announce the name of the composer, by releasing a song from the film. Gautham says he is done with 80% of the film. When asked to compare Dhanush and Simbu, he adds, “Both of them are pretty much same in many aspects.
They’re quite realistic, raw and natural actors. I don’t have to tell them what to do. I make sure they just read the script, and know their scenes and dialogues.
They easily give you the shots. If you are smart, you can grab it with the camera and move on.” But what about the differences? Gautham laughs, “Simbu is talkative, and Dhanush is quiet on the sets. Simbu warms up fast, and Dhanush takes some time to do that. He’s a little shy.”
ENPT, which is expected to release next year, has Megha Akash as the leading lady.
