After acting alongside Dhanush in the political thriller Kodi, Trisha will be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi next, in a film directed by Prem Kumar, who handled cinematography for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012). A source told us, “Though she has been finalised as the heroine, she’s yet to sign the dotted line. If this gets materialised, this would be the first time that both of them are sharing screen space together.”

City Express has additional information that the actress is one of the contenders to bag the role opposite Rajinikanth, in his next, which will be directed by Pa Ranjith, produced by Dhanush’s homebanner Wundebar Films. We were told, “Superstar is busy with 2.0. Once he finishes this, he’ll start shooting for Ranjith’s new venture. Amala Paul is under consideration. Trisha’s name has also been suggested.”

However, nothing has been finalised. While speaking to us earlier in an interview, Trisha admitted that she’d like to pair up with Rajinikanth. She had said, “I have been in the industry for more than a decade, but couldn’t act alongside Superstar. It honestly didn’t happen. I think I am going to be here for some more time and hope my wish gets fulfilled.”
